I began writing poetry early in my walk with God. I have found it to be the best and sometimes the only way to express what God has made real in my heart. All of these poems are gifts from Heaven to me. Writing them and even re-reading them myself has blessed me beyond measure. I now pass the gift on to you. May you be touched and changed.

The Value of a Soul

What is the value of a soul?
You said it was more than the earth.
You can make each empty heart whole.
Only You can know each one’s worth.

Help me see as only You see
The potential there is in each one.
You alone know what a man can be
When your work in Him is done.

God, don’t let me sell any short;
Keep my selfish thoughts at bay.
Don’t let me use them for support
Or to replace You in any way.

Instead, may I ever see their worth,
Keeping eternity in view.
For every soul that lives on earth
Is precious and needful of You.
