I began writing poetry early in my walk with God. I have found it to be the best and sometimes the only way to express what God has made real in my heart. All of these poems are gifts from Heaven to me. Writing them and even re-reading them myself has blessed me beyond measure. I now pass the gift on to you. May you be touched and changed.

A Missionary's prayer

Jesus, Lord, please hear my prayer
As I serve Thee far from home
Make me willing no matter where
To make Thy great love known

Let me have a soul aflame
Kindled by Thy altar’s fire
Living only for Thy name
Obeying Lord, all Thy desire

May I in Thy love abide
And on Thy bosom rest
All my self-love crucified
That Thou be manifest

May I seek an eternal crown
Fix my gaze on Heaven’s shore
Nothing earthly weighing down
My zeal for Thee anymore

Here I give my wounded heart
My sinful self bowed at your feet
You know every lacking part
Mold me, make my life complete

And as I struggle on my way
May Thy grace shine down on me
Lord, please use me anyway
As I live and work for Thee
