I began writing poetry early in my walk with God. I have found it to be the best and sometimes the only way to express what God has made real in my heart. All of these poems are gifts from Heaven to me. Writing them and even re-reading them myself has blessed me beyond measure. I now pass the gift on to you. May you be touched and changed.

Oh, to be a Friend of God

Oh, to be a friend of God
For Him to be so near
A helper in my time of need
To heal my pain and fear

Oh, to be a friend of God
To be a trusted one
Who does His will for Him on earth
And blesses everyone

Oh, to be a friend of God
May He confide in me
To know the secrets of the Lord
And all His plans to see

Oh, to be a friend of God
To rest in His embrace
To have a closer walk with Him
And always see His face

Oh, to be your friend, oh God
Please make it come to pass
Draw me into you so close
And may our friendship last
