I began writing poetry early in my walk with God. I have found it to be the best and sometimes the only way to express what God has made real in my heart. All of these poems are gifts from Heaven to me. Writing them and even re-reading them myself has blessed me beyond measure. I now pass the gift on to you. May you be touched and changed.

Nothing

I see nothing…
At Your feet my face is to the ground
I hear nothing…
My repentant cries drown out all sound
I know nothing…
But my guilt before the Holy One
I am nothing…
In Your presence I’m wholly undone
I feel nothing…
But my greatest need: Your matchless Grace
I need nothing…
Only to see love shine from Your face

I see nothing…
But My precious Blood, Cov’ring your fall
I hear nothing…
But your cries of need; I’ll answer all
I know nothing…
But that I died just for you, My son
I am nothing…
But Love failing not ‘til all is done
I feel nothing…
But merciful love given to you
I need nothing…
But for you to be Mine through and through

I see nothing…
Your sweet smile is all I see
I hear nothing…
But Your words of life encouraging me
I know nothing…
Only that Your grace will see me through
I am nothing…
But worth more than life, O Lord, to you
I feel nothing…
But Your arms of love enfolding me
I need nothing…
But to praise You for eternity
