I began writing poetry early in my walk with God. I have found it to be the best and sometimes the only way to express what God has made real in my heart. All of these poems are gifts from Heaven to me. Writing them and even re-reading them myself has blessed me beyond measure. I now pass the gift on to you. May you be touched and changed.

A New Beginning

When you say goodbye
To places or family or friends
And the familiar things
All must come to an end…

When the future is full
Of doubts and full of fears
And you must bravely face it
With trembling and with tears…

When God breaks and shakes you
And your will is crossed
And you’ve nothing left but faith
And then recount the cost…

Even when at your door
Death comes knocking for you
And you cross over the sea
Your earthly life now through…

…It is never an end but a new beginning

Because you have given
Unto the Lord your heart
Every moment and each change
Can be a brand new start
