I began writing poetry early in my walk with God. I have found it to be the best and sometimes the only way to express what God has made real in my heart. All of these poems are gifts from Heaven to me. Writing them and even re-reading them myself has blessed me beyond measure. I now pass the gift on to you. May you be touched and changed.

Give Love to Me

Fill my heart with Your great love
Make me to love as You do
Give me Your heart from above
Let mine be holy and true
Help me this lost, hurting world to see
And whatever it takes, give love to me

Empty me of all that gets in the way
Don’t let me hinder the flow
May I be selfless all through the day
And never to need say, “no”
From all self-seeking make sure I’m free
Take what you will, but give love to me

Break my heart and break my will
Make my heart tender and soft
Give me a burden for evils and ills
To heal whatever the cost
Just like Jesus my heart longs to be
Please, oh my Lord, will You give love to me?
