I began writing poetry early in my walk with God. I have found it to be the best and sometimes the only way to express what God has made real in my heart. All of these poems are gifts from Heaven to me. Writing them and even re-reading them myself has blessed me beyond measure. I now pass the gift on to you. May you be touched and changed.

Your Father's Arms

Your Father’s arms are around you
He holds you in his heart
Peace and joy surround you
He’ll never let you part

Your Father’s arms are around you
Confusion flees away
Your thoughts cannot confound you
His perfect peace will stay

Your Father’s arms are around you
Protected, safe and still
You’re free from sin that bound you
As you abide in His will

Your Father’s arms are around you
Such joy that you are His
He’s so glad He found you
No greater love than this

Your Father’s arms are around you
You do not want to leave
You ask your Lord to ground you
In a bond you’ll never cleave

Your Father’s arms are around you
In heaven it shall be
In heaven’s joys He’ll drown you
For all eternity
