I began writing poetry early in my walk with God. I have found it to be the best and sometimes the only way to express what God has made real in my heart. All of these poems are gifts from Heaven to me. Writing them and even re-reading them myself has blessed me beyond measure. I now pass the gift on to you. May you be touched and changed.

Helpless

I am unable to save him
There’s nothing I can do
I cannot keep him
From what he must go through

I cannot make his choices
He has his own strong will
Not being able to interfere
Is a painfully bitter pill

But I am not in control
I am not lord of his soul
I can turn to the one
Who alone can make him whole

It is only through my prayers
That a difference I can make
God alone can bring repentance
And help his hard heart break
