I began writing poetry early in my walk with God. I have found it to be the best and sometimes the only way to express what God has made real in my heart. All of these poems are gifts from Heaven to me. Writing them and even re-reading them myself has blessed me beyond measure. I now pass the gift on to you. May you be touched and changed.

Worth it All

“The end-it will explain” Amy Carmichael

A baby sick and dying
A mother wondering why
But God is amidst the crying
Peace will come by and by
The child will await her in heaven’s halls
And her faith declares it is worth it all

Temptation, tests and trials
Are all he seems to know
But it will only be a while
To eternal rest he’ll go
All of the battles, every failure and fall
As he strives for heaven, they are worth it all

Her husband has left
Alone to raise the kids
Though she feels bereft
She forgives all he did
All of the heartbreak, the bitter cup of gall
Enduring faithfully she knows it’s worth it all

A young Christian man
Persecuted and mocked
For taking a holy stand
And for the way he walked
Never striking back, true to the upward call
Pressured, but not breaking, his stand is worth it all
